About Me

Mahdi “Mike” Zare — a Houston Realtor® who prices the renovation before you buy.

Most agents can tell you what a house is worth. I can also tell you what it will cost you after you own it.

I work in residential construction alongside my real estate practice, so when I walk a property I am reading two things at once: the comps, the days on market and your negotiating position — and the roof, the foundation, the electrical capacity, the setbacks and the deed restrictions that decide what the work actually costs. The comps set the ceiling. The build sets the cost.

Where I work: northwest Houston is home — 77070 (Champions / Willowbrook), 77064, 77065 (Steeplechase, Tower Oaks), Cypress and Jersey Village — along with Katy, Sugar Land, Memorial and Spring Branch, the Heights and The Woodlands.

What clients ask me for most:

  • Before you make an offer — flood designation on both the current and the draft 2026 FEMA maps, roof age against insurability, gaps in the permit history, and a real number for what the repairs will cost.
  • Before you list — which pre-sale repairs return money and which ones to skip. Sometimes the answer is list it as-is, and I will tell you that too.
  • Mid-option period — reading an inspection report and separating the three findings that matter from the forty that do not.
  • Buying, selling and leasing across Greater Houston.

I hold a Texas real estate license (#829970) with Dalton Wade Inc. and a master’s degree in urban planning. I speak English and Farsi.

Send me an address and I will tell you what the house actually needs — usually the same day, with nothing to sign. More at [zarerealtor.com](https://zarerealtor.com).
